Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority on Saturday extended a ban on international passengers arriving in Thailand until the end of June to continue to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
The ban means that foreigners living in Thailand with work visas or with spousal visas will not be able to enter the country. Thais will also not be allowed to enter the country unless it is through a government organised return flight at the end of which they will be placed in state quarantine.
Exceptions to the new ruling are military flights, diplomatic flights and emergencies.
Thailand said it had discovered zero new cases of coronavirus on Saturday ahead of a second wave of lockdown easing measures due to begin on Sunday.
