Thai Airways International (THAI) has appointed board member Chansin Treenuchagron to take the helm of its debt restructuring and rehabilitation plan.
Chansin, the former CEO of PTT, replaced Pailin Chuchottaworn as a board member on June 4 after the latter resigned the day after he was appointed.
The flagship carrier wrote in a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Monday that Chansin’s new position is effective as of June 4.
One of Chansin’s main responsibilities will include THAI’s rehabilitation petition which was accepted by the Central Bankruptcy Court on May 27. The first hearing has been set for August.
THAI’s share price decreased from 6.85 baht at the beginning of 2020 to 4.42 baht on May 26. It was trading at 4.46 baht before the intermission on Monday.
