Police on Wednesday arrested human rights lawyer Anon Numpha for previous sedition charges and denied his bail, according to opposition parliamentarians.
Anon is being charged with sedition, violating the Public Assembly Act, the Sound Amplifier Act, and the Computer Crimes Act for the Harry Potter rally on August 3.
An investigation is being conducted at Chana Songkhram police station tonight and Anon will be held there until his court appearance on Thursday.
Another protest organizer, Baramee Chairat was also arrested late Wednesday and he is being held at Samranrat Police Station for sedition charges as well.
Parliamentarians from the Move Forward Party say that they were negotiating with police to bail out both Anon and Baramee. The MPs say that they have dispatched teams to both police stations to negotiate with the police.

Anon was earlier arrested on August 7 for organizing a pro-democracy protest on July 18 which resulted in a small altercation between the protestors and the police at the Democracy Monument.
Anon was released on bail for the July 18 but now faces additional charges from the rally on August 3.
Arrest warrants for him and five other protest leaders were also put out this morning for organizing the Thammasat rally on August 10 where speakers broached the taboo topic of the monarchy.
Anon told Thai Enquirer on Sunday that the movement will now be put on hold to see if the government will meet their demands. No major rally is planned until mid-September.
He and other protest leaders said if the government failed to listen to the voice of the people, they will escalate the protest.
