Thailand’s government said on Wednesday that it had discovered eight new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in state quarantine and alternate state quarantine.
The Thai patients in state quarantine were returning from the US (2), Australia (1) and Japan (1). A family of four Americans arriving from the US were also found to be infected in alternate state quarantine.
The new discovery brings the total number of cases up to 3,425 cases.
There are no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 58.
No one has recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. This means that the total number of discharged patients is still at 3,274.
Currently, 93 people remain in hospital.
