Global K-pop supergroup Blackpink sets a new YouTube Premiere record as 1.65 million fans watched the unveiling of their new comeback “How You Like That” on Friday.
The music video has already surpassed 450,000 views and 1.1 million likes on YouTube within two hours of its release.
They are currently the most subscribed music group on YouTube with 37.9 million followers.
Following the release of their music video, Blackpink also announced the launch of their official Twitter account.
“How You Like That” is the first of a three-step comeback plan. The second will be another digital release scheduled for July or August, and the third will culminate in the group’s first studio album since their debut.
The music video opens up to a throne room with large obsidian wings in the backdrop. Thai idol Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban takes center stage as she walks towards the camera, uttering the group’s catchphrase: “Blackpink in your area.”
