The Thai government has arrested one more protest leader on Tuesday.
Jutthathip “Oua” Sirikan, one of the leaders from the Student Union of Thailand, was arrested on sedition along with other charges for organizing a protest on July 18.
It was the first major rally to take place against the Prayut Chan-ocha government at Democracy Monument, which resulted in a small altercation between the protesters and the police.
Oua is now currently at Samranrat Police Station where the arrest warrant was issued.
This is the first arrest this week after dozens of activists were arrested last week for organizing anti-government protests.
