There is a huge amount of information on the internet about the new coronavirus or COVID-19 going around.

When we read this information or send it to our friends and families, it is important that what we are sending is true – bad information can be dangerous.

To try and fight the fake news stories that are going around, this leaflet by the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) and Bangkok-based Covid Relief effort busts some of the most common myths that you might have heard on the internet.

As the best way to fight COVID-19 is to wash your hands and practice good hygiene, the best way to fight fake news is to practice information hygiene!

During these difficult times, it is important to only trust official sources of information such as the World Health Organisation or Thai Department of Disease Control: www.ddc.moph.go.th.

Please note that this leaflet provides some information only relevant to Thailand. If you live elsewhere please check local government or official resources.
