Thailand’s government said on Monday that it had discovered three cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in state quarantine.
The new patients are Thai returnees from the UAE (2) and India (1).
The new discoveries bring the total number of cases up to 3,320 cases.
There are no new fatalities leaving the death toll at 58.
There were no new recoveries in the past 24 hours. The total number of discharged patients is still at 3,142.
Currently, 120 people remain in hospital.
Global situation
There are approximately 18.23 million confirmed coronavirus cases globally. On Monday, it was reported that 221,747 cases were found within the past 24 hours.
More than 11.44 million people (63 per cent) have recovered from the infection and more than 692,000 (3.8 per cent) have died from the disease.
There are currently around 65,700 patients being treated as severe cases.
In the US alone, there were 4.8 million confirmed cases, followed by 2.7 million in Brazil and nearly 1.8 million in India.
India reported 52,783 confirmed cases and 758 deaths on Monday, followed by the US (49,329 / 467) and Brazil (24,801 / 514).
